You are on the brand page «SERENA».
The ancient lineage of the Serena family dates back to 1390 in Venice. Among the family members were prominent political figures, landowners, and even glass masters. Pietro Serena — the founder of Vinicola Serena — was born in 1839 in the province of Treviso. In 1881, in Crocetta Trevigiana, Pietro built the first distillery where wine was stored and sold in wooden barrels. After the First and Second World Wars, the third generation of the Serena family began bottling their wines for sale in glass bottles. During the management of the company by Adolfo Serena in 1967, the company was moved to Susegana. In the 1970s, when the management passed to his sons Gerardo and Giorgio, a time of major changes began for the company. In 1987, the company began selling wine in steel barrels. In the 1990s, Vinicola Serena invested significant capital and resources to start producing wine in kegs, becoming a leader in this sector. To this day, Serena wines are mainly sold in barrels, especially on the Italian market. In 2011, the company celebrated its 130th anniversary and was awarded the status of a “Historic Company of Italy” by the Treviso Chamber of Commerce.
