The company was founded in 1993 in Rioja Alavesa. It was led by Javier Galarreta, who brought together a group of winemakers from Rioja Alavesa and other prestigious Spanish regions.
Today ARAEX is one of the largest Spanish wine exporting companies. Its products are sold in more than 70 countries around the world, with sales exceeding 11 million bottles on the international market.
In 2001, the company achieved important results — it was named the best Spanish exporting company according to the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture. Today Araex creates premium-class wines, focuses on innovation, and always provides opportunities for the development of new wine lines with strong potential.
