Barton & Guestier Returns to Tashkent!
A memorable wine tasting of French wines from the legendary house Barton & Guestier was held in Tashkent at the newly opened Wine Bazaar wine bar — a stylish venue that welcomed wine lovers from across the city. The special guest of the evening was Ekaterina Makusenko, Barton & Guestier’s brand ambassador, who traveled to Uzbekistan specifically to host the event. Barton & Guestier - 300 Years of Winemaking Excellence. Founded in 1725 by Irishman Thomas Barton in Bordeaux, Barton & Guestier has become one of the most iconic names in French wine, bringing together the finest terroirs from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône Valley, Loire Valley, Languedoc, Gascony, and Corsica. Today, Barton & Guestier wines are available in over 130 countries, including Uzbekistan. The tasting featured six wines that beautifully showcased the diversity of French wine regions:
Sancerre - dry white (Loire Valley)
Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine - dry white (Loire Valley)
Rosé d’Anjou - semi-dry rosé (Loire Valley)
Pinot Noir Réserve - dry red (Corsica)
Shiraz Réserve - dry red (Languedoc-Roussillon)
Malbec Réserve - dry red (Languedoc-Roussillon)
Ekaterina Makusenko’s deep knowledge of French winemaking and her engaging storytelling turned the evening into an immersive cultural experience, highlighting each wine’s origins, nuances, and pairing suggestions.
